Bertinex’s particular activity is the flameproof conversion of various types of machinery and equipment, regardless of the brand, to make them suitable to be used in areas classified with a risk of flammability and/or explosion.
Bertinex offers its flameproof services to manufacturers, dealers and users, basically dealing with three areas of activity:

  • Industry (chemical, pharmaceutical, food, etc.)
  • Oil & Gas, in particular in off/onshore environments
  • Coal mines and tunnels

Bertinex endeavours to meet all its customers’ needs, by proposing “made-to-measure” flameproof conversions, in accordance with the ATEX European Directive 2014/34/EU and IECEx international standards. The certification obtained is a testament to the technical skills and experience acquired by Bertinex.

Technical courses

The flameproof conversion of machinery, systems and former standard equipment is a topic that requires special knowledge of the rules to be applied, that are constantly being updated and developed in Europe and worldwide. 
Bertinex technical staff attend regular refresher courses, covering the various flameproof standards, held by the expert consultants of the various institutes responsible for certification. Bertinex can offer consultancy services to customers and organize training courses dedicated to the specific flameproof conversions supplied.

Revisions

Bertinex has organised its production layout to overhaul equipment and  machinery, already Ex converted. 
Bertinex technical staff attend regular refresher and training courses. 
Equipment and machinery’s revision must be done by qualified personnel that own appropriate certification. 
For each revision, the Bertinex technical department prepares a complete dossier, which constitutes the technical basis for issuing certification of conformity of the work performed.

In Bertinex’s warehouse there are stocked special Ex proof spare parts for many years to guarantee for long the correct maintenance of the Ex proof conversions done in the past.
